Recently, the essay, photography and short video award ceremony on the theme of “Feeling the New Era of China” and the Chinese and foreign youth talent show were held, both online and offline. The competition was jointly organized by the magazine Contemporary World of the Foreign Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Secretariat of the China Scholarship Council of the Ministry of Education, China Xinhua News Network Co. Ltd and China Road and Bridge Corporation. The competition is dedicated to deepening humanistic exchanges, promoting mutual appreciation of civilization, showcasing a real and comprehensive China, and providing a stage for international students to show their good spirit. A total of 3,688 entries were submitted by international students from 196 universities and 133 countries and regions.

NEFU international students won second prizes in both the essay and the photography categories. OTHMAN DINA MOHAMED MAHMOUD ELSHENAWI, an Egyptian student, won a second prize in the essay category for her work “A Seed Connects Egypt and China”, and PINIGIN IGOR, a Russian student, won a second prize in the photography category for his work “Youth of the World under the Faces 2”. The award ceremony was attended by students and teachers from the School of International Education and Exchanges online.

In recent years, NEFU has deeply integrated the education on the history of the Party and ecological civilization into the national education system for international students, and built a new path of Chinese national education for international students based on classroom, campus and society. A series of activities on social practice and cultural experience of China are actively carried out to lead international students to understand the real and comprehensive China and encourage them to tell Chinese stories to the world in a richer way.
