Details of the Scholarship

1. Exempt from tuition fee and on-campus accommodation fee;

2. CNY 800 per year for Comprehensive Medical Insurance;

3. Monthly living allowance is granted to the students at the following standard:

Master’s degree candidate: CNY 3000/ person/ month;

Doctoral degree candidate: CNY 3500/ person/ month.

Eligibility

To apply for this scholarship, applicants must

1. Be a citizen of a country other than the People’ s Republic of China, and be in good health both mentally and physically.

2. Satisfy the following age, degree and academic performance requirements:

a）Holding a bachelor’ s degree or equivalent under the age of 35 when applying for master’s programs;

b) Holding a master’ s degree or equivalent under the age of 40 when applying for doctoral programs.

3. Language requirements: have acquired the Chinese proficiency of HSK Level 4 or above for applicants receiving Chinese-taught programs; Students applying for programs taught in English must achieve an IELTS score of 6.5 or a TOEFL score of 95 (or equivalent) or higher;

4. Meet the admission requirements of NEFU in terms of discipline background, academic ability, language proficiency and other relevant criteria.  5.Excellent academic performance and strong research ability;

6. The scholarship cannot be combined with any other scholarship.

Applicants shall submit their application in both CSC application system and NEFU International Students’ Enrollment System between November and March each year.

Application Documents

1. Passport (valid within 1 year);

2. Highest diploma (notarized photocopy in English or Chinese);

3. Transcripts (notarized photocopy in English or Chinese);

4. HSK Certificates (valid within 2 years) or English level certificates such as TOEFL or IELTS;

5. Two recommendation letters by professors or associate professors (written in Chinese or English);

6. A study or research plan (no less than 1000 words in Chinese or English);

7. Foreigner Physical Examination Form (valid within 6 months);

8. Non-Criminal record report (valid within 6 months);

9. Financial Guarantee;
