On July 29, the 8th China Forestry Academic Conference International Students Forum was held in Northeast Forestry University, with nearly 100 experts and international student representatives from six universities, including Northeast Forestry University, Beijing Forestry University, Nanjing Forestry University, and Zhejiang Agricultural and Forestry University, attending the forum.
Prof. Li Shunlong, member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party Committee and Vice President of the university, delivered a speech for the International Students Forum, in which he introduced to the delegates the international cooperation and international students education carried out by Northeast Forestry University in recent years. He fully affirmed that effective exchanges and mutual learning had been maintained among the brother universities of agriculture and forestry in the international students education. He also emphasized that through academic exchanges, the international students should think and study about global ecological governance and building a natural community of destiny for mankind, and shoulder the mission and responsibility of young international forestry professionals.
The theme of this forum is Sustainable Forestry Development and Double Carbon Strategy. Prof. Xu Yanchun of College of Wildlife and Nature Conservation and Prof. Gu Jiacun of School of Forestry made wonderful reports respectively, and 11 international students from the 6 agricultural and forestry universities shared their academic knowledge around the theme of the forum, followed by frequent interactions in a warm atmosphere.
The International Students Forum is one of the 56 branch venues of the 8th China Forestry Academic Conference, which is hosted by the School of International Education and Exchange of Northeast Forestry University, aiming at fully grasping the opportunity of the Forestry Academic Conference, helping the international students to broaden their academic horizons, promoting academic exchanges, and striving to become an important participant, contributor, and leader in the construction of global ecological civilization.
